![]() I've driven the A/S version in the dry, I wasn't impressed with it at all in the grip department. Not a bad tire for the price, but next time around I'll pay the extra for the Contis. Ride comfort is sort of "meh", the sidewall has a pretty stiff insert in it and it transmits a lot of noise back through the steering wheel. On some surfaces these tires can get VERY noisy from about 15 mph to 55 mph. But if wet weather is priority I would highly recommend paying a little extra and getting these tires instead: Good in standing water until you get down to about 5/32nds. They mostly have trouble on sealed asphalt surfaces when it's wet, they kind of remind me of the old BFG Rival in that regard. Now after a year of heat cycles, sometimes they grip pretty well and other times they can break traction without any warning. When they were new about a year ago, they had very good grip on wet pavement I would have given them a stellar review. The wet grip can be a little schizophrenic. Very good dry grip, good turn-in response, you could easily keep up with local club guys on fun runs. It's a daily driver with Progress swaybars and a good alignment. ![]() I have the BFG Sport Comp 2s on my 2013 Club prht in the stock 205/45/17 size. i thought about replacing with the BFG A/S, but after reading consumer reviews Tirerack (starting with lowest ratings first) i think the only way to get a well performing long lasting tire on a NC is to upgrade to 17" rims. i now have 13K on them and really don't think they will ever see the 20K mark. My biggest gripe is the noise, and right off the Bat new (4x4?). the BFG Comp 2s do grip very well dry but i have had these break loose easily on a few occasions on wet roads. Suspension mods are Koni/Progress w/RX-8 red/yellow sways. I currently have the BFG g-force Comp 2 Sport tires on mine, 16" stock rims. I'm looking for a good mileage tire that works well in the heat, and will handle well for spirited club runs, the Gap, etc. Are we confusing these two tires? I need tires and am looking to the forum for advice. I'm getting a headache searching in the forum.
